Instance Leveling - Easy Way to Farm for Gold at World of Warcraft

You may have heard about the benefits of instance leveling, but one aspect that many do not consider is how easy it is to farm for gold while you’re leveling. While there are several different ways for you to make lots of WoW gold while you’re instance leveling, you have to understand how to work the auction house and be able to recognize what will make WoW gold for you, and what will not.

Instance Leveling and Cloth Materials

When instance leveling, cloth is one thing you’ll see plenty of. Take advantage of this. After all, you will leave all lower level instances with pretty much one stack of cloth, which is going to be valuable to you in many ways.

First of all, already having cloth saves you from having to purchase cloth to level your First Aid profession.

In fact, you’ll have so much cloth that you will be able to level First Aid and still have plenty cloth left over to sell. Tailors will also be able to make use of the cloth they already have, and instance leveling is an easy way to cut down on how much cloth you need to purchase.

While this is not "earning" gold per se, it still provides a valuable method of saving your World of Warcraft gold.

If you are not leveling First Aid or Tailoring, one important thing to still keep in mind, is the fact that those stacks of cloth are still valuable. They are worth a lot of gold on the auction house.

More and more players are switching one of their professions to Tailoring. This is because of a major change that came with the Cataclysm expansion that allows you to alter certain specs on certain pieces of gear. This is a valuable skill, allowing tailors to be able to sell to other players. This means that cloth is in demand, which tends to drive the price of cloth up at the auction house.

Instance Leveling and Enchanting Materials

Many choose to farm for gold by instance leveling through enchanting materials.

Most times you will have an enchanter in your group. You will know if you do, because the "disenchant" option on the loot bar will be available when everyone is rolling on gear drops. Select "disenchant" if you don’t plan on using the gear yourself. Doing this will allow you to roll on the materials that result from disenchanting the item. This allows you to take advantage of the enchanter’s skill to disenchant items.

Remember, enchanting materials will always sell for top dollar on the auction house, so make sure you save up plenty to sell as you are instance leveling.

Instance Leveling and Other Rare Materials

Instance leveling can also give you more opportunities to roll on other rare items that can be used by various professions.

With these sorts of items, the trick is recognizing which ones are worth gold on the auction house. As a rule of thumb, items that appear with a white name can be sold on the auction house because someone can use them for a profession.

However, just like the "other" world, part of this is going to be trial and error. If, on the other hand, these items repeatedly fail to sell, then you’re going to be better off selling them to a vendor.
