Review: Gold Medal Wine Club

The Club

Unlike some other wine clubs I have found, the Gold Medal Wine Club does no choose wines based solely on their personal palate preferences.

The wines featured in each of Gold Medal Wine Club's 6 Club Series are required to meet strict selection criteria that include multiple medals from major wine competitions, and high ratings from national wine publications such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits, and Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate.

The 6 Club Series

  • Gold Series Wine Club provides a great taste of California’s best small, family-owned wineries. Each shipment will include two outstanding, hard-to-find, award-winning wines (1 red & 1 white), plus a fun, and informative publication, The Wine Press. You will get first hand insight and information about the wines, the winery history, and the winemaker, plus enjoy fun wine facts, recipes and more. Choose monthly, every-other-month or quarterly shipments. Reds only option available.

  • Gold Medal Wine Club
  • The Gold Medal Wine Club's upper-level Platinum Series Wine Club showcases only 90+ rated, highly distinguished, ultra-premium wines from boutique California wineries. Receive two different small production fine wines in each shipment. Includes in-depth stories about each featured winery, tasting notes and a personal note from the winery’s owner or winemaker. Choose monthly, every-other-month or quarterly shipments.

  • Undiscovered, different and cutting edge, the Garagiste Series Wine Club (pronounced gar-uh-zheest’) provides a wine tasting experience unlike anything else. These wines are small-production gems produced in tiny batches by independent, highly-skilled winemakers. If you love the thought of finding fascinating wines before they're discovered, this is the perfect choice.

  • The Pinot Noir Series Wine Club brings you two different bottles of superb Pinots from top California, U.S. and International winemakers and acclaimed wineries. In the Pinot Noir Press you’ll get lots of information on the wines, tasting notes, and a history of the wineries. If you have a passion for Pinots this is the Wine Club series for you.

  • The International Series Wine Club travels the globe to discover ultra-premium wines from great, hidden wine country estates. Each quarterly shipment features a different country with three specially selected International wines (2 reds, 1 white). Read tasting notes on the wines, photos of the region, a history of the wine country and winery, plus fun facts about the culture. You can add Gold Medal Wine Club's unique Adventure Package full of international gourmet treats to each shipment for just a few dollars more!

  • Gold Medal Wine Club's exclusive Diamond Series Wine Club showcases only the highest quality wines available from California, and other of the world’s most renowned winemakers. For those who demand the best, prepare to experience rare, world-class selections in a class all by themselves. Each delivery presents two distinguished wines along with a history of the winery and the wines’ highest quality credentials. Due to very limited availability the Diamond Series is capped at 500 lucky recipients.
